NewzNozzl Aggregates Digg, Reddit, etc.

clipped from mashable.com

Digg, Reddit, Del.icio.us. They have the meta-data that we all love. And most of you out there have feeds for all three of these social bookmarking sites (and then some), so you can keep track of the top stories across the board. What NewzNozzl wants to do is take the meta-meta data from the top social bookmarking sites, and make its own version of a people-powered voting system. This means that you can’t submit directly to NewzNozzl, but it does pull the top stories from the top bookmarking sites.

Bill Gates “I’m Riiich Biotch!” Snow Globes Bring Holiday Cheer

clipped from gizmodo.com

bill_gates_snow_globe.jpgHolidays and snow globes go hand in hand —and so does Bill Gates and exorbitant amounts of money. When you put them together, that is a sure-fire recipe for good times. There are two Bill Gates versions to choose from, both of which feature “gold coin” and “green bill” glitter. All that is left to decide is whether you prefer Bill frolicking in his money Scrooge McDuck style, or the more subdued “I’m Really Really Rich” floating head version. Individually priced at $28.99. An additional photo is available after the break.

Glow-in-the-Dark Cats Could Make For a Unique Home Lighting Solution

clipped from gizmodo.com

glow-in-the-dark-cats.JPGScientists at the Gyeongsang National University in South Korea have cloned cats that have the ability to glow-in-the dark when exposed to ultraviolet light. By inserting a virus into the skin cells of a mother cat and placing those contaminated cells into the womb, scientists were able to prove that it was possible to clone an animal with a manipulated gene. Apparently, this development could allow for a better understanding of human genetic diseases in the future. But what about the benefits of glowing cats?

If you ask me, cats that could truly glow-in-the-dark would make for an unique and styilsh night-light. And, much like the new Litrospheres, they last for about 12 years. The only downside is that the latter requires no power source while cats require a steady diet. Still, the crazy cat lady down the street could have the most power efficient house in town. Tryphone Lets You Sample Cellphone UI without Buying

clipped from gizmodo.com

tryphone.pngCurious about how that new phone works? Check out tryphone.com, the site that takes screenshots of just about possible screen and ties it to button presses on the virtual keyboard. In the case of the iPhone, you get to feel what it’s like to press all the buttons, but you won’t be able to do stuff like multi-touch or sliding gestures. It’s a pretty great idea that’ll let your parents know what it is they’re getting into before you have to go and spend your Xmas teaching them how to use that new BlackBerry Pearl. clipped from www.lulu.com
Within Your Means: Financial Planning for Hidden Expenses by Michael Ham (Book) in Parenting & Families

An Excel workbook to help you create a budget that recognizes not only your explicit expenses (rent/mortgage, utilities, groceries, auto insurance and registration, and the like), but also implicit expenses: the money you implicitly spend by gradually wearing out things you must replace (car, tires, mattress, tv, furniture, and the like).
By structuring your budget so that these implicit expenses are also recognized and accounted for, you’ll find that you control your paycheck instead of its controlling you.

Xbox360fanboy.com - High-res Halo3 rank artwork

clipped from www.xbox360fanboy.com

The Halo 3 insignia rank artwork that is available on Bungie.net is so 1998. It’s low-res, .gif based and is just so darn … “meh”. But fret not artwork lovers, because halo.bungie.org member Beorn is here to save the day with re-worked, re-created and oh so beautiful insignia artwork. Beorn took the liberty of re-creating all the Halo 3 ranked military insignias (everything from Recruit through General Grade 4) in vector form and super high res .png files. The new insignia artwork is spot on accurate and allows you to use your Halo 3 military rank for any high-res need that you may have. Thanks Beorn, now we feel like we’re living in the digital artwork age of 2007.
